About

The Nebraska Wander Freunde Trailblazers (NWFT) was formed in March 1979 as one of the first American clubs in the American Volkssport Association (AVA).  The club hosts monthly meetings on the first Monday from September through June (except when a holiday falls on that Monday, when the meeting is held the following Monday).  Meetings are held in the basement of Morning Star Lutheran Church, 331 S. 85th Avenue, Omaha, NE  68114.

“Traditional” Walks are held monthly from September through December and March through May, with other club activities scheduled during the summer months.  The NWFT currently hosts 12 different Year Round Events, along the Interstate 80 corridor and in the greater Omaha metropolitan area, including western Iowa.

You do not have to be a member in order to participate in a walk or come to any of our activities, although we do encourage membership.  Click to open the Membership Application Form in a new window, where it can be printed for you to fill out.  Members are recognized in our bi-monthly newsletter for achievements, birthdays and anniversaries.
